To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions whom he has met to discuss the implementation of the Mayor of London’s proposed congestion charging scheme; and what was discussed at these meetings.

Ministers meet a variety of people to discuss a variety of issues including congestion charging. Any congestion charging scheme in London is a matter for the Mayor. The Government’s involvement is with respect to exemptions policy and value for money in the use of the net proceeds.
