To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many cancer patients with each type of cancer there have been in each primary care trust area in each year since 1997.
Answered by Ann Keen
Information on the numbers of patients living with cancer in each primary care trust (prevalence) is not held centrally. However, the number of new cases of cancer diagnosed in each year (incidence) since 1997 by Government Office Region can be viewed on the Office for National Statistics’ website at:www.statistics.gov.uk/statbase/Product.asp?vlnk=8843
