Promoting Citizenship In Schools
January 29, 2008
In a drive to help young people better understand how our country is governed and what it is like to be an MP, Mark visited two schools in the constituency this month to discuss life as a politician. He first made a presentation on citizenship to the St Marylebone C of E School’s sixth form and later joined the Greycoat Hospital School’s Year 9 assembly to answer pupils’ questions. He was extremely impressed with the students’ sharp minds and enthusiasm for political issues and hopes that he helped encourage them to realise the importance of political participation at all stages of life.
